How does a backlink database work?
The SERPngin crawler sequentially crawls domains from the loaded list, finds internal pages and saves outgoing links to external sites. The search on this page works on an already accumulated database and does not launch scanning again.
Donors and pages
For each link found, the donor domain and the exact address of the page where it is located are stored. This helps you quickly check the context and accessibility of a link.
Anchors
If the link has text, it is displayed as an anchor. An empty anchor means that the link can be image, icon or URL without text description.
Continued traversal
The page queue and position in the domain list are saved on the server. After restart or error processing continues from the last checkpoint.
We take into account the site rules
The crawler requests only public HTTP(S) pages, respects robots.txt and pauses between requests. Private addresses and media files are not bypassed.
Types of Backlinks
Tags next to the URL help you quickly understand where the link is located, what attributes it has, and whether the donor requires additional verification.

Dofollow and Nofollow
Dofollow - the link does not have rel=nofollow. Nofollow - the donor clearly conveys to search engines a recommendation not to consider this link as a regular one.
Redirect and 404
For a redirect, the HTTP code and the chain of transitions to the final URL are shown. The 404 mark means that the target When checked, the link returned “page not found”.
SPAM
A dark orange SPAM flag appears if more than 15 links to different external domains are found on the donor's page. This a signal to check the quality of the page and the nature of the placement of links.
